My stay

Why do I register the data of my travel companions?

Sunparks is legally obliged to register the details of all our residential guests. By registering your travel companions before arrival, you will save some time when checking in.  You can do so by logging onto www.sunparksshop.com.

How can I prepare my check-in?

You can prepare your stay by registering your guests and yourself beforehand. This will save you some time when checking in. You can do so by logging onto www.sunparksshop.com. Here you’ll also have the possibility to add services to your booking such as breakfast, bicycles, activities, linen, etc.

Where do I find the directions / map of the park?

You can go directly to the page of the park you are interested in and then click on the "practical information" tab. During the booking procedure, in Step 3, you can indicate a preference for a specific location of your Holiday House. Here you'll find a link to the map as well.

How do I check in?

You can check in at the Reception Desk of the park. You’ve already completed the details of your travel companions online?  Good! Your check-in will go much quicker. You haven't yet? You can do so by logging onto www.sunparksshop.com.  Upon arrival, you’ll receive the key to your Holiday House, the Aquafun tickets, and vouchers for any services/activities you booked.Your Holiday House is available from 3 pm on arrival day until 10 am on departure day. The park facilities, such as the swimming pool and car park, are usually available on your arrival day from 10 am and on your departure day the whole day as well.

Until what time can I check in?

All parks provide round-the-clock attendance to welcome you. Should you arrive outside the opening hours of the reception desk, the night porter will check you in.

Is there children's equipment in my Holiday House?

In every Holiday House from 4 persons onward a baby cot and a high chair is provided. When needed, you can add additional baby furniture to your booking.  The bed linen is not provided for the cot. This can also be added when making the booking.

Are there sheets and towels present in my Holiday House?

This depends on the type of Holiday House you booked. When booking an Exclusive Holiday House, the bedlinen and towels are included. When booking a Select Holiday House, the linen is to be added separately.  If you wish to complete your booking with these extra services, you can add them online via www.sunparksshop.com or by calling our Customer Contact Center on 0845 351 0109 (4p/min).

Is there WiFi on the parks?

Sunparks Oostduinkerke aan zee offers free Wi-Fi in the main building. At Sunparks Kempense Meren, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the park.

Is smoking allowed in the Holiday House?

Our Park Centers are smoke-free. In our Holiday Houses it is also not permitted to smoke.

Can I bring my pet to Sunparks?

Of course! Pets are allowed in most of our Holiday Houses (max. of 2 pets per House).Please specify the number of pets when booking, an additional charge is applied. We expect our guests to take responsibility for their pets and have them wear a flea collar, keep dogs on a lead and have them use the designated pet toilet areas.Pets are not allowed in the Park Center, Aquafun and our Hotels.

I am disabled, can I park near my Holiday House?

We aim for our parks to be as car-free as possible. On presentation of a medical statement, an exemption is granted by Reception staff. Please inquire when checking in.

I have a remark regarding my stay. What do I do?

Despite all our efforts, a situation may occur in which you experience disappointment. When on the park, please take up your remark directly with the Park Management, in order to allow us to solve the issue immediately for you.   After your stay, subit your complaint until 1 month after your stay in writing via this form or by post for the Netherlands to Sunparks, Guest Relations Department, PO Box 5199, 2900 ED Capelle aan den IJssel and for Belgium to Sunparks, Guest Relations Department, Erperheidestraat 2, 3990 Peer, Belgium.

Where can I find more information about Aquafun?

Access and opening hours:
The Aquafun is a subtropical swimming paradise consisting of an outdoor and indoor pool, wave pool, whirlpools, paddling pool and several slides to delight young and old! Its access is included in all the stays or with the day tickets and it is open all year long*! No need to book to access it. 

*Except for exceptional total or partial closure. You can check these times on the Sunparks website. 

Safety rules for children:
Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and remain under the responsibility of the adult: Adults must therefore supervise these children at all times.
- Children who do not know how to swim must wear a life jacket: life jackets for children from 1 to 12 years old are available free of charge.
Baby parks are available around the pools of Aquafun to put your baby down for a few moments if needed: this does not prevent them from remaining under the supervision of an adult at all times.

What to wear at Aquafun?

The Aquafun is only accessible in swimwear made of swimming suit material or lycra. By swimwear is meant connecting swim shorts, short swimming shorts (above the knee), swimming costumes, bikinis, swimsuits. Any other form of clothing such as loose (outer) clothing, t-shirts, dresses, skirts whether attached to the swimwear or not, are not permitted for hygiene and safety reasons. No form of headgear of any kind is allowed in the Aquafun (with the exception of a connecting bathing cap).

Is there an age limit to enter Aquafun?
There is no age limit because there are pools for all ages: from the children's pool to the wave pool!
For the slides, depending on the experience they offer, a minimum size will be specified at the entrance. Some activities may also be inadvisable for pregnant women or people with a weak heart: please respect these instructions carefully.

Is Aquafun adapted to people with reduced mobility?
Yes, the Aquafun is suitable to people with reduced mobility. In addition, all areas have a ramp to get into the water as well as adapted wheelchairs (you must indicate this at the reception desk in order to be able to change your chair at the changing room). Access to at least one indoor pool and a rest area (with chairs) is aways available. 

What paid activities are available?
You can also take advantage of paid activities for young and old. You can book these activities in advance at the reception. 

Is it possible to have lunch at the Aquafun?
Yes, you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere in the Aquafun while having lunch. However, it is forbidden to bring your own food to picnic in the Aquafun.
